THE PROBLEM

Two Communities Without a Home

Families are struggling. You can change that.

1 in 6

children now diagnosed with a developmental disability

And these children grow up.

At age 22, school services end. Most young adults with disabilities have nowhere to go, no community, no purpose, no belonging.

Arizona has over 1 million residents with disabilities. Weekday programs are rare, underfunded, and full.

"When my son aged out of school, we had no options. The waiting lists were years long. We felt invisible." -APM Parent

188,000+

homeschooled students in Arizona

Zero taxpayer funding for athletics.

While public schools get tax dollars for facilities, homeschool families fund everything themselves. EVAC teams bounce from gym to gym, no consistency, no home court.

Families choose homeschooling for values, but sacrifice the athletic experience their kids deserve.

"We practice at a different gym every week. Our kids have never experienced a true home game." -EVAC Coach

Meet Daniel

Daniel is an adult with special needs who loves getting out of the house. Sporting events, being around people, being part of something. That is where he comes alive.

But there is a problem.

There are no day programs that truly fit him. No programs where he can consistently engage. No programs that align with his faith. No programs built around his desire to help people meet, know, and follow Jesus.

So like many families, his options are limited. And that is the reality for more adults with special needs than most people realize.

Your gift changes that.
It gives Daniel, and dozens like him, a place to belong, engage, and thrive. Every single day.

Meet the Botma Family

🏀 🏐 🏃‍♀️

7 State Championships
1 National Championship
3 Kids. 1 Family. Zero Home Court.

Grant and his wife have three kids in EVAC. Cambria, Parker, and Elle all play multiple sports and love competing.

If it wasn’t for EVAC, their family isn’t sure they would still be homeschooling.

Like many families, they worried their kids would miss out on sports, friendships, and community. But EVAC gave them something different—a place to compete at a high level while staying rooted in their faith and values.

But there is a problem.

Their kids’ teams have won championships and earned national recognition, yet they’ve never had a true home gym or field.

For the Botmas and every other EVAC family, they never fully know where they'll be practicing month to month, year to year. EVAC has to fight for whatever gym time is available.

A home facility changes everything.
Lower costs for families. Consistent schedules. Less driving. And a high school sports experience that rivals any traditional school.

Who We Are

Able Purpose Ministries was founded in 2025 by families who experienced the gap firsthand. We're building the weekday program we wish existed.

East Valley Athletes for Christ was founded over 20 years ago and has built a thriving community of homeschool athletes, hundreds strong, but with no home court to call their own.

The Window Is Now

Construction costs in Phoenix rose 7% last year alone. Every month we wait costs real money. We need to break ground this summer.

📍Land owned free & clear - 5.14 acres, $2.25M value, paid in full

📐Construction Documents underway - Final specs, permits, and budgets in progress

🎯Goal: Break ground Summer 2026 - EVAC home court by Fall 2027

Costs rise 5-7% annually - Every delay adds to the final price tag

THE SOLUTION

One Campus. Two Missions. Every Day.

☀️

Weekdays with APM

Adults with disabilities gather for worship, classes, job training, art, music, and Gospel-centered community.

🌙

Evenings & Weekends with EVAC

Homeschool athletes practice, compete, and grow, finally with a home court to call their own.

The Flywheel Effect

EVAC families serve at APM⟷APM participants cheer on EVAC

Two communities becoming one, through shared space and shared purpose.

🟡 Construction Documents Phase

We've Reached the Construction Documents Phase

This is a major milestone. We've moved beyond conceptual drawings and renderings into the official architectural specifications phase. Here's what that means:

  • Detailed architectural specs are being developed for every system: structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing

  • Accurate cost estimates are being finalized with our contractor based on real specifications, not projections

  • City and county coordination has begun for permits, zoning, and compliance requirements

  • Engineering drawings are being prepared for the actual construction crews

What's next: Once construction documents are complete and permits are approved, we break ground. The timeline from here depends entirely on funding. Every dollar raised now accelerates the path to shovels in the dirt.
