About Us
Able Purpose Ministries is a Church that helps adults with special needs discover their God-given value, empowering them to share the Gospel and reflect God’s love in everyday life.
Admission and programming
Able Purpose Ministries is a Christ-centered Church community designed specifically for adults with disabilities, ages 18 and older. We offer three core experiences:
Monthly worship services designed for individuals and families with special needs, free for anyone to attend.
Weekday programming offered two days a week (Monday/Tuesday or Thursday/Friday, 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM) to help adults with disabilities grow in faith, develop skills, and prepare for roles at our events.
Quarterly community events—such as music performances, sports days, business fairs, and seasonal festivals—led and hosted by adults with special needs as they use their weekday training to perform and share the Gospel and reveal God’s character.
Our admissions process is personal and relational. We meet with each individual and their family to ensure the program is a good fit, understand their unique abilities and needs, and determine the best programming track for them.
Because our programming is designed for those who can engage in a group setting, we are unable to accommodate individuals who routinely act out physically or exhibit physically aggressive behavior.
Enrollment at Able Purpose Ministries’ weekday programming and quarterly events requires completing a family agreement and acknowledging our statement of faith, which guides everything we do. We partner with families to create a Christ-centered, encouraging, and purpose-filled experience for every adult in our community.
Statement of faith
Able Purpose Ministries holds firmly to a statement of faith that defines our beliefs and serves as the foundation for our Core Values, Mission, and Vision. It is our shared faith and relationship with Jesus Christ that make the Able Purpose Ministries community unique and vibrant.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant word of God
It is our final authority in all matters of life and faith.
Scripture references: II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21
We believe every believer—including those with special needs—is called to ministry
(Ephesians 2:10), equipped to proclaim His truth (Ephesians 4:12), and reflect His love (2 Corinthians 5:20).
We believe in the Trinity
God is one, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit, perfectly unified.
Scripture references: Matthew 28:19; I Corinthians 8:6
We believe in Jesus Christ
Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and died an atoning death through His shed blood. He rose bodily from the dead and is alive today.
Scripture references: Luke 1:30-55; John 1:1-15
We believe in the creation and fall of humanity
Man was created in the image of God but fell into sin, resulting in separation from God and bringing death to all.
Scripture references: Genesis 2:16; Genesis 3:16-19; Romans 3:10-23; Romans 5:12; Romans 6:23
We believe in the sanctity of gender
God creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God.
Scripture reference: Genesis 1:26-27
We believe in the sanctity of marriage
Marriage is a God-ordained union between one man and one woman.
Scripture reference: Genesis 2:24
We believe in salvation through Jesus Christ
Salvation is a free gift from God, available to all who call upon the name of the Lord. It is by grace, through faith, and not by human works. Salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross.
Scripture references: Ephesians 2:8-9; Acts 16:31
This statement of faith reflects the biblical principles upon which Able Purpose Ministries is built and guides us as we serve adults with disabilities in their educational and spiritual journey.
