Meet the Botma Family
Grant and his wife have three kids in EVAC. Cambria plays volleyball, basketball, track, and sand volleyball. Parker plays flag football, basketball, and baseball. Elle plays basketball and track.
If it wasn't for EVAC, they're not sure they would still be homeschooling.
So many families stop homeschooling when high school hits because they fear their kids will miss out on extracurriculars and social activities. Not the Botmas. EVAC gave them something better. A community that is fiercely competitive (Cambria alone has won two basketball state championships, a volleyball state championship, a sand volleyball state championship, and multiple track state titles. Parker won a national championship in basketball. Elle has her own basketball state championship). And it all aligns with their faith and values.
But here's the thing. Cambria is a junior with college scholarship offers in four sports. And she has never played a home game in a true home gym. Never practiced on a home field. The family never knows where they'll be practicing month to month, year to year, because EVAC has to fight for whatever gym time is available.
A home facility changes everything.
Lower costs for families. Consistent schedules. Less driving. And a high school sports experience that rivals any traditional school.
