This is not a daycare. This is a community where adults with disabilities (ages 18+) are equipped, valued, and empowered to lead, grow in faith, and live out God’s unique purpose for their lives.

What is it?

Participant Guidelines

Our desire is for every participant to experience belonging, growth, encouragement, and meaningful Christ-centered community within an environment where all individuals are respected and supported.

To help maintain a safe, structured, and encouraging environment, Able Purpose Ministries requires individuals enrolled in Weekday Programming meet the following guidelines:

  • Participants must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Participants must be able to independently manage personal hygiene needs.

  • Participants must be able to follow simple verbal instructions and participate appropriately in group activities.

  • Participants must be able to engage in programming with minimal behavioral support required for participation in group settings.

  • Participants must demonstrate the ability to interact respectfully and appropriately with peers, staff, and volunteers.

  • Participants must be able to remain safely within designated program areas without requiring continuous one-to-one supervision.

  • Participants (or caregivers/guardians) may be asked to provide relevant support plans, behavioral plans, medical information, or prior program documentation to help our team support safe and meaningful participation.

Able Purpose Ministries is committed to cultivating a safe, welcoming, and Christ-centered community. Bullying, threatening behavior, aggressive conduct, or any behavior that presents a safety risk to participants, staff, or volunteers will not be permitted.

If you have questions or concerns about any of these guidelines, we welcome a conversation with our team to explore whether and how participation may be a good fit.

Take a minute to fill out this quick interest form.

Our admissions process is personal and relational. We’ll meet with each individual and their family to ensure the program is a good fit.
